1. A DEBTOR IS COLLECTING
Unfortunately, Congress did not protect stimulus payments from collections from private debtors with the CARES act. If you do have a debt, there is a chance it could have been collected on or garnished. LUCKILY, back taxes owed won’t impact your stimulus payment.

2.YOU ARE BEHIND ON CHILD SUPPORT
The Treasury Department may withhold back child support payments from your stimulus if you owe.
